I just picked up my new Guinea Pigs that I adopted and I put them in there cage one of them got scared and ran into the pigloo, and sprayed bedding every wear but the one place it goes, in the cage.

Is that a normal thing for them to spray bedding all over the place?

sure. I just bought two guinea pigs from our local shelter, and they kick up TONS of bedding!

How high are your coroplast sides? You can make them higher.

ok i just got my guinea pigs about an hour ago can i put them on the floor and play with them

It would be a good idea to let them settle in a bit first. Give them until this evening at least; that way, they have at least started to get used to their new surroundings.

I agree - you need to give them some alone time. They will probably be REALLY nervous, so let them have a little wander in the cage without interference.

Give them a couple of days to settle in before you start playing with them. They need to get used to their new surroundings. You can try to pet them in the cage though.

How high are the coroplast sides? If they are short you can make them higher by doing a couple of things. 1). Get a new sheet of coroplast and make 6"-8" sides. 2) Take scraps of coroplast and insert between the grids and existing coro. 3) Get some cardboard and insert between the grids and existing coro.
