A Picky Guinea Pig?

My guinea pig, for some strange reason, only eats her dried food, pellets, and salad. She doesn't eat anything else, I tried giving her oranges, carrots, grapes, etc, but she doesn't even touch them. Is this out of the ordinary, or is it okay if she continues to eat like this?

It's normal for pigs to be picky. Keep offering her variety, and leave food in her cage overnight, she may eat it then. Don't take it out right away. If you are afraid she is not getting enough Vit. C, supplement her with a chewable sugar-free vitamin C tablet.

Yes, some pigs are very picky. Keep trying different things too. What all veggies/fruits have you tried so far?

I have always said that what they dont like today they may like next week. Sometimes my piggies won't eat a veggie but I will reintroduce it 2 weeks later and amazingly they will eat it. I also find that sometimes if you don't give them what they like best and replace it with something else they may eat it. My piggies love cantalope, well last night that was left over, never eaten. You figure it out.

Yep, pigs are like kids, they have to try things at least 10 times before they can make a decision as to whether they like it or not. Mine wanted nothing to do with sweet potatoes the first week and now they love them. Some days they only eat their romaine and leave the rest and other days it's just the other bits!
