Okay, Ginny is an extraordinarily squirmy piggy, so pictures weren't easy.

You can't... really see anything here? Looking back, I think I was just paranoid that she was sick, since she was in such a bad cage. The skin is kinda discolored. There are little dark specs. But it doesn't feel scaly or anything. Not especially soft, like the skin behind Edelweiss' ears, but not scaly. My paranoia has subsided, but I decided to show you anyway.
There's also a bit of a build up of wax in her ears. Dark wax, too.
But as I was lifting her, I realized that I had been lied to.

These are definitely not claws that have been trimmed in the last week! They are so sharp and they've started curling really badly inward. They actually lift her back toes a little bit.
She's a bit shaken up right now, from picture time, but she's in for a long over due nail trimming in a short bit!

Those nails are awful! I would trim those right away, it can't be comfortable for her to walk on that. The skin is probably just multiple different colors behind her ears, one of my pigs has multi-colored ears where half of each ear is bright pink and the other half is dark black. Cold-pressed extra virgin coconut oil should help with the wax buildup.

She worked very well, with a little help from a green bell pepper. Not sure if she's ever had any before, but boy was she curious. She worked better, even, than Edelweiss.

Boo was actually adopted from the humane society out where we got Ginny. Which I'm happy for. Ginny was a "let's get my child a guinea pig to teach him responsibility" kind of pet.
Usually, I roll my eyes at that kinda thing, and grumble irritably to myself and anyone around me. But... The boy that this piggy belonged to COULDN'T have been older than four. A four year old -can't- be responsible for the life of a guinea pig. Not by himself. :/

Ginny seems to be settling in fairly well, already. Currently she's being homed in a repurposed dog kennel. The bars have been modified with her size in mind, and it allows her a little room to run. It's certainly not the best, but for this current moment, it'll do. The cage she came with was caked in old poop, and completely stained on the bottom.
