Hi everyone,
So we were talking with these people at a guinea pig event, and we were talking about bonding guinea pigs, and they said that the way they heard about bonding was keeping the cages next to each other for about a week or something, then switching the pigs into each others cages for a week or so, and then put them together, because then they were used to the scents and had become friends?
I personally wouldn't do it, I would rather do traditional much more.
Have you ever heard of this? Have any of you done it?

I've heard of people doing the cage switching thing, and also of just switching the hideys, toys and fleece. But then they also go on to do full introductions.

I think that's all unnecesary. You can't tell how they will do together until you go ahead and do the full introduction.
