i just adopted 2 new female piggers , i want to give them more space than they have , will a 3x2 be big enough , i think i will add a 2 level too?

Its best for it to be a 2x4, a 2x3 is the size for one piggie, but if space is an issue, a 2x3 with an upper level for 2 female pigs will be OK.

right now they are in a store bough cage and it seems really small to me , they were not treated well , there nails were so long , no hay no toys , cant wait to spoil them !

I'm sure they are very lucky to be with you now!

yeah i only live in a small apartment so i would definalty have to do the second level , but maybe i could change some stuff around to make room for a 2x4 , im sure my girls ( sugar & Spice) would love the new space and the new accessories to go with it.

Definetily try to give them at least a 2x4.

What foods are you feeding them?

well im living in the north , so its hard to get diffrent stuff , at the store here they have the mixed kind and the regular pellets , ive been giving them regular guinea pig pellets , romaine lettuce , apple carrots etc . ive been searching to see what to feed them and what not too , but i know they are getting more now than they ever had , my poor girls they were deprived ! i have hay on they way , and im still looking for a good canadian online pet store to order some more accessories for them , there is absoutly nothing up here for them only food and shavings , hoping to have a huge supply of food , and fun stuff for them buy the end of the month , c& C cage material should be here by wednesday

ive made some stuff for them myself to do until i get better things but they seem happier already , even just by giving them lettuce (romaine ) they go nuts , jumping , running and squeeling , you can tell that they never had much attention before. i love seeing them happy

(broken link removed) has free shipping on orders over $35. They are however, expensive, and I don't know if it applies to Canada.

Read www.guinealynx.com, esspecaily the nutrition section.

Slap- ferret store ships $35 or more on all U.S. orders.
There is (broken link removed) which will be cheaper than ferret store.

Right, I didn't know if it applied to Canada.

I know a lot of members have been looking for one. I am pretty sure there is one in existance.

thanks will look into it.

Don't forget though, Ericka. If you buy from an American company you have to consider currency exchange, customs taxes and border taxes. It may be in your best interest to try to find a Canadian company. I'd love to buy from critterstore and ferretstore but it just adds up too quickly.

I think 2x3 is way better than any pet store cage you could find. Sometimes adding a second level can limit running space because the ramp tends to get in the way. So build the second level and see how it goes.
