2 Females Humping

I have had my 2 female guinea pigs for one year. They have shared a cage the whole time. Just the other day the younger guinea started trying to mount the older one from behind.

Is this normal?

yeah its normal,weird,but normal. sometimes when the females go into heat they mount the othe pigs in the cage. sometimes they also bleed a little.

One of my girls, Spike, does that to the other. I actually thought she was male because of it. It always happens once a month for about two days in heat. She rumble struts and tries to mount Callie. Spike is just the dominant female between the two and she shows it. Callie is very passive and sweet. From everything I have read or been told, I gather that this is normal.
