    Fleece Fleece not wicking

I've been having the same issue with some fleece I bought by the yard -- no detergent, vinegar, and straight regular dawn, 6 wash and dries later still not wicking -- I think there is just some stubborn fleeces out there.

Liners Making fleece cage liners & I have some questions

I suggest only using 1 layer of uhaul. Sewing through 2 layers can be troublesome, and I have to dry my dbl layered liner twice. I just put extra uhaul padding underneath my cage liner in the base of cage. i use a standard thread It takes longer but I highly recommend pining your fabric...

Fleece Thread always breaks when sewing fleece

Are you trying to sew through towels? That might be part of the problem. I just recently used two layers of fleece and one layer of uhaul with no problem. I use heavy duty thread. Also make sure ur needle isn't dull.

Fleece Trouble getting odor out of fleece

I have never had a problem with odor, I do exactly what you do. Hot water, vinegar, and free detergent. However, I add 1/2 cup Borax or 1/2 cup baking soda to the wash and let soak in washer for a half hour before washing cycle. Before I went to a litter box their pee pads were drenched and I...

    Fleece New liner, frogs!!

@Epiphaneee I put the same fleece on both sides of each liner. I didn't want the uhaul padding exposed on the bottom of the liner because it makes a lint mess on fleece when washed/dried, but no it isn't necessary. Also, I'm pretty tidy and neat, LOL. I thought about using a contrast fleece but...

    Fleece New liner, frogs!!

On the top it was two layers of uhaul, and two layers of fleece (broke two sewing needles) On the bottom i used one layer of uhaul and two layers of fleece. Before I placed the liner in the bottom I put down a layer of uhaul by itself for extra absorbency. No broken needles on the bottom liner...

    Fleece New liner, frogs!!

I will definitely look into that needle, but does it go through uhaul padding too? I think that was my biggest issue, I attempted two layers, with two layers of fleece.

    Fleece New liner, frogs!!

I did it :) proud of myself! i made my first fleece liner. This is my 2x2 loft, still have to do the bottom. I used two layers of uhaul padding, and broke two sewing machine needles. I'm going to use one layer of uhaul for the bottom, then if I need to I will just lay an extra layer of uhaul in...

Thanks. I do use vinegar in the wash, I spoke with my husband and he thinks a humidifier would help another purchase for our piggies :)

    Fleece 'Static' -- dry heat

Now that the furnace is on due to colder temps I'm having trouble with static in the fleece. My Abyssinian, Baby Ruth, came out of her fleece forest this morning and all her hair was frizzy and standing on end. She looked like she stuck her paw in a light socket, lol. I went to pet her and zap...
