    I guess I'll be sticking with towels for now. I don't get not washing stuff in the washer either! Do a rinse cycle after, maybe wipe down the interior, and there shouldn't be hairs, if that's the problem.     Towels are pretty bad. They can only soak up so much because they aren't very thick.

    Polar fleece can be harder to get to wick. Also some detergents (especially liquid) have extra scent boosters and other stuff that work as a sort of fabric softener.
