    Baby pig showing signs of maturity

    Things are much better today. It's a 2x4 C&C and they each have a hidey house at opposite ends of the cage.

    Do the piggies go upstairs much?

    Reference Summer is coming. Should you house your GP outside?

    I personally believe that the benefits far outweigh the risks, not just for us but for the piggies. They are pets but first and foremost they are animals that are designed by nature to survive outdoors. It's our responsibility as pet owners to ensure their safety and security, and to give them...

    Baby pig showing signs of maturity

    He's about 3-4 months old and recently trying to hump the older one and there's a lot of scuffling, a little bit of biting. The older one is trying to get away from him and also sometimes standing his ground. No real fighting. Should I separate them for a while?

    using aspen in litter boxes

    Best advice I got was to use puppy training pads underneath the fleece. It catches and wicks away the moisture, and also stays drier than newspaper. According to my book, he's a Patagonian cavey. They are one of the largest breed of wild cavies.

    Veggie/fruit chart: amounts?

    Thanks. That seems about right. Seems like I read somewhere that it's best to feed them 2 meals of veggies a day. So I've been giving them about 1/2 cup twice a day with a few treats thrown in between. I noticed that the grapes seem to make their poop watery, so I won't be feeding those very...

    Surprise in hay

    If there are no signs of mildew or fungus, then i should be OK. I'm sure that wild guinea pigs must encounter dead bugs in their food.

    Veggie/fruit chart: amounts?

    Along these lines, I'm wondering about how much a piggie should eat a day? A cup, or 1/2 cup twice a day? Just wondering. It seems that they poop ALOT and I'm wondering if I'm feeding too much.
