We have dogs as well and they have never shown aggression towards the piggies but we would never leave them unsupervised. One of our dogs just thinks the guinea pigs are weird little dogs and he just doesn't know how to play with them.

Has anyone used the pellets and hay from Small Pet Select?? The lady from the rescue where i got my 2 two newest piggies swears by it. they have some good prices and deals. You can get a 10lb box of hay and a 5lb bag of pellets for $40. I just want to make sure it's good stuff before I order it.

I have a Peruvian and a Silkie and I just trim what touches the ground so they don't get urine and other stuff caught in there. I also brush them daily

I do this too and it works great!

The only odor I have ever noticed is when I used to use aspen shavings, they smelled like that, but now that I use fleece and a litter box with recycled paper bedding I don't notice a smell at all
