Good news! She's going to be ok! the vet says she sprained her ankle, it's swollen and obviously hurting but nothing's broken or out of place. They sent her home with some metacam and said not to let her run around too much and she should heal up just fine. Thank you squiggles for your advice!

Regarding the laundry detergent, look for the kind that says it's for sensitive skin, they usually don't have any scent or fabric softener in them.

I have a 3 wide cage and they're a little more tricky to clean. To sweep the back corners I have to get on tip-toe and lean way over, (my cage is at about kitchen-counter height and I'm 5'3"). I don't find it to be a problem, if you have any back or mobility issues it might be better to stick...

She's adorable! And can I just say I'm super impressed that you managed to get a syringe that big in her mouth? One of my pigs is on some medications at the moment and even with a smaller syringe it's been an ordeal. I had no idea guinea pigs could wiggle that hard. Anyway, congrats on the recovery!
