Fresh Food Starting the girls on wheat grass

I've been so busy, I haven't been on the forum in a while. Our guinea girls are loving life here in the Bahamas! They've been doing great on the boat. My daughter takes them in to school from time to time which is fun. Most of the kids have never seen a guinea pig before! I've run into...

Reference Got pigs that won't share pigloo?

I do! And I hated they way 2 pigloos cluttered up my cage. I made them a new hut out of a Rubbermade step stool. I attached fleece "curtains" on 3 sides using velcro and now they are happy to share their large bedroom! I'm sure they appreciate the extra ventilation that come's from the open...

Reference Wine Boxes Make Great Loft Hideouts!

They are cut from coroplast and I hot glued popsicle sticks to it. I cut the doorway just shy of the width of the ramp and cut 2 slits into the bottom to hold the ramp in place

Bonding Piper & Pippa are friends!

We moved back onto our boat today, so quarantine had to be shortened a little bit. A bit of a risk, but necessary since there's no room on the boat for 2 cages! Piper was a bit pushy at first, but now they are happily shacked up in their pigloo together. Here they can be seen charting our...

Joy Piper is getting a friend!

I just can't wait to get them together! I've been noticing that Piper is getting a bit pudgy. She's not terribly active during floor time so having a friend to chase her around should help.

Joy Piper is getting a friend!

Well, I finally decided to get Piper a friend. She's in quarantine now and I do hope they become fast friends at introduction time. I've read the guidelines and I'm going to do my best. I must admit, I am a bit nervous about bringing another GP on our boat, but I know it's the best thing for...

Fleece Wash fleece with vinegar or baking soda?

Thanks so much for all the help! Next load, I will add the vinegar to the rinse cycle as opposed to putting it in with the detergent.

Fleece Wash fleece with vinegar or baking soda?

Now that I've been using fleece for a few weeks, It seems to be smelling more. I've been washing my fleece and pad in a "free and clear" detergent. I've read that some people use vinegar and some use baking soda with their detergent. Is one better than the other. Also how much vinegar or...

What to make with this coroplast box?

I thought about that, but I worry about wasting hay since she'll just poop in it so much. I have a hay loft right now, but the hay is in a rack and not spread out all over the floor.

What to make with this coroplast box?

Scored a cute purple coroplast asparagus box from the grocery store today. Ask and you shall receive! It had green lettering on the outside, so I refolded it inside out. What should I do with it? 10Wx 12L x 7H.
