    Sounds Popcorn bum scratching

I'm at a point where Mo is officially tamed. Bout time whew!! :plol Here's the funny thing, Mo never really responded much with bum scratching (except the stinky anal sac opening when Bobo was around). Now Mo does one of three things. Stretches his legs out, leans into the scratch, and/or...

Joy Mo is finally getting tamed

Thanks you two. Yes I am planning on getting him a buddy (or two). My only concern is where to get them and when. I made a topic a little while back on where to find some shelters or adoptions around my area without going to Petco for them. My problem is, Petco is the only area I can get...

Joy Mo is finally getting tamed

Ever since the passing of Bobo, I've been spending more time with Mo. Mo was the special one that HATED being picked up, always ran away when I tried to pet him, no matter how slow I moved my hand, and very rarely ever ate a carrot out of my hand. Lately, I've been being patient with him...

    Popcorning lazy pigs

Maybe they got smart and popcorn while you're not around :P Mo would popcorn when the light is off and usually when it's early morning. Maybe they need something new with their layout perhaps?

    Conditions Scab under chin?

I was giving Mo some floor time and I noticed that he has a weird scab under his chin. What is this?

    Frustrated Minimizing odor in bedroom

I would imagine keeping the door open (or window like you mentioned) and having something that circulates the air helps. Warm air can also trap odor making it a muggy stinky piggy smell. Just out of curiosity, what type of bedding are you using?

Adopting Where to find in my area

I appreciate it. I looked through the pets section as well as for sale and both are either outdated, barely any listings, and/or way out of town.

Adopting Where to find in my area

Since I live in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, it seems like shelters are very limiting if not don't exist at all. I looked through GuineaPigZone but couldn't find anything. Even a google search and craigslist shows nothing. The closest place is Petco, where I got my two boys, but I'm more...

    My little boy Bobo

Thank you everyone. Sadly, I live in a rental house by a college campus. However, I still gave him a proper burial, paper towel and plastic bag so that way animals don't go messing with it too much. Amazing, I've only had him for less than 2 months and it has hit me pretty hard. Mo, the...

    My little boy Bobo

Bobo just passed away this morning. He picked up pnuemonia it seems and he had a vet visit yesterday. I worked on nursing him get him on his road to recovery. I woke up at 3 am to give him antibiotics (was 12 hours), fed him, and gave him water, then went back to sleep. Then I found him at...

Sick I think Bobo is sick

Thank you so much for the help so far. Despite the part with force feeding him, he is wobbling around eating hay and a pellet or two. I'll have to monitor his water since he may be too weak to try and use the bottom, so I'll have to feed him that as well. He was quarantined the moment he got...

Sick I think Bobo is sick

So I took Bobo to the vet today (especially since he didn't seem himself again today). Vet said he had pneumonia. She prescribed him Baytril but I noticed he developed some diarrhea when I put him in a different cage from Mo. I know I need to hand feed him which I've been trying to give him...

Behavior Scratching butt leads to stinkiness

It was funny though. He was on his belly and he stretched his hind legs out like he enjoyed it. Then he lifted his leg like he was kind of leaning into it. It was hilarious and gross at the same time.

Behavior Scratching butt leads to stinkiness

What's the deal with my boys when I pet them and kind of scratch their behinds, they let out a foul odor? I was playing with Bobo and scratching him and eventually by his bum and he let his leg up like how a dog does and his sac kind of let out and made a stinky smell. Both of my boys do that...

    Big enough?

Woah, look at the size of that thing! Wish I had a little more room here for my boys :(

    Behavior Guinea pig twitching?

Could definitely be popcorning. Also could be running laps too. Last night, I watched Mo popcorn then run 10 laps around the cage. My what a sight to see.

    Weight Is there Weight ok?

I would like to know this too. I tried to weigh Bobo and Mo on my LOL human scale, but...yeah, that just won't work. They are under 6 months as well.

    Hay No More Hay! ?

I guess of course I tried searching all the main stores you might have there in Australia. Grass is basically a substitute for hay since hay is just dried grass. Only problem is the mass amounts of grass to get and if it is fertilized and/or pesticides in it.

Sick I think Bobo is sick

Just checked on Bobo and he is now drinking and eating. He is just extremely relaxed and calm. Sign of stool inside the pigloo. Just not popcorning like he normally does every night. Maybe he was just extremely distraught from the constant mounting from Mo last night.

Coroplast Where Can I Find Coroplast??

3 sq. ft. Plastic White Corrugated Sheets (15-Pack)-COR-2418-15 at The Home Depot This one is with the 3x3 coroplast. (This is a 15 pack though, I didn't look thoroughly for the individual sheets) I dunno if they have color, and if they do, you probably have to order online. Usually sign...
