I have a dog and 2 pigs. Crackers and Zoom love it when she wines or makes a high piched noise. they pop-corn. They also run along the end of the cage. ( the closest part to the dog.) And sometimes they kiss each other.
Zoom (tan & white) was recently adopted through the Have-a-Heart rescue. He was originally the result of a misguided Valentines Day gift. Now he is our gift. :)
Yesterday I adopted a guinea pig from the have a heart rescue. He was fostered at a school and is not afraid of being picked up. His name is Zoom. He was a valentines present that did not work out. He has flat hair and is very slippery.
Crackers is the more dominant one. After yesterday...
The extra platform on the left is not a full loft area. It was made so we could use two short ramps instead of one long one. Crackers loves to jump (basically two 7 inch hops) more than he likes the ramps. We kept all his stuff in the middle so that he can run laps around the outside edge of his cag
Enjoying some floor time in the bathroom while his cage is being cleaned. We set up a 'playpen' out of extra grids, loosely connected with zip-ties so that it folded and unfolded easily.
I have 20 grids together with cable ties. That means I can make it 7x3 to 5x5. That is his play pen and I sit in there almost the whole time he is in there. We spend a good hour when I do it, and he gets some good runs in.
Soooooooo cute!!! I have a question for anyone to answer, how do wash a guinea pig and dose it matter how you wash it if it has short hair or long hair. By the way mine has short hair.
