Welcome! :) Unfortunately, through mainland Europe, a lot of people still have piggies in small cages. I hope that sites like these can inspire people that piggies need more space. I've been trying to inspire the Dutch area for years to improve the cage size, but it's a slow process.

I give 3 tablespoons of pellets per pig daily. I' sure it helps balancing the daily need of nutrients. Also, it gives them something extra to do. When I see the time they spend around the pellet bowl, they sure love rummaging around in it.

Problem is: when was it fertilized? If it's close to harvesting, I wouldn't use it.

That's a great link, but it doesn't include Rex piggies. They are bigger than an average pig, weigh a lot more than average. I have bunny sized hideys for the Rex I have, they don't even fit any standard piggie hidey.

The one time I let a piggie in another persons care, one of my friends, she let the dog kill him. Needless to say I have issues trusting people with piggies since and never did so since. I do understand your anger. It's not only because they obviously see piggies as second rate creatures...

I always hold scardy pigs with their back to my chest, one hand under their bum and one hand on their tum. No way they can fly then. ;) Wrigglers could be towel wrapped, but I think it's more the insecurity of the carrying around which makes them nervous. Their lack of good depth perception...

My washer washes out all hairs, not one in sight after. Never had up to now, I had several washers already whilst I used fleece and towels.

Do they get along? Is it possible to make one larger male group? Are there sows in the other cages?

We don't go on vacation anymore. Seriously. We have been to a few places and we prefer to stay at home. There is nobody around to take care of the pigs at all.
