I think the cage is, like the other people said, a little too small. Its a good start though, and if you can make it bigger, the better! Your pigs are really cute too. Love their names!! Good luck with the bigger cage!

Is your vet a vet for guinea pigs? If she/he specializes in guineas, I would do it. The vet usually knows whats right. I can totally see why you wouldn't want to though. Hope this helps.

I don't know if this will help of not, but you could name her after your favorite singer or actress. Thats what I did.

From what it looks like, I would have to say no. Some guinea pigs are just really fat. My Boy guinea pig looks just a little smaller than her. Have you noticed she eating more?

Also, I know you said money wasn't a problem, but you could also use those For Sale signs like for houses and things like that. The don't cost a penny (besides gas money to go get them), but they certanly don't look the best. They do work though. That is what I did and that way I saved about $25...

That is exaclty what happened to my pigs. I built a 2 by 2 C&C Cage for both of them. I would have build bigger, but I didn't have any more colorplast. They will be in a bigger cage in a little while, once we get more colorplast.

I put my pigs in the playroom, a room that hardly anyone gets into besides me and the pigs. Maybe you have a room that no one really uses or gets into? It might work for the space. (I really only use it in there because we got a puppy about 2 months ago and I don't trust her around the pigs.)...
