I've had him since ... October? of last year. He's not an Aby, and sheds more than Frisk, who is an Aby. As for he hooting, I'm positive it wasn't his normal sounds, he's very vocal (grrr) and he only started making this noise on and off but at no set intervals. It really seems to go away...

So I couldn't get an appointment for Saturday, but i have one for Tuesday. The thing is I'm wondering if I should still take him. His breathing is now fine (i listened for quite a while, ear held up to his body) and he's wheeking his little heart out at his usual sounds, even running around...

I'll see what the vet says, his shedding may be fine and i'm just overreacting. His hair doesn't seem thin at all, but i will definitely keep an eye on it.

He gets green leaf lettuce, quite a few leaves, and a slice of green or red pepper a day, he has both kms pellets (an eighth cup) and hay (unlimited) , the hay is bluegrass. His water is purified by osmosis water from walmart. He's active, and other than the noises he makes and how he acts when...

The hooting starts up and goes away sometimes, if that's any indicator of what it might be... his breathing doesn't sound good when i got a chance to listen to it anyway, so vet's happening no matter what, i'm just being kind of a busybody at this point.

I know they shed a lot but this seemed really excessive.... like a handful of hair. Maybe is hould consider brushing him ... but he didn't seem happy with being held, so i'll see what the vet says on saturday. Thanks for the reply, bpatters, as always.

Asriel is driving me insane. He has developed this nasty habit of very loudly chewing on the Coroplast edge of the kitchen I put in for my two boys. Do any of you have any ideas on how I can curb this? Its so loud it wakes me up when I'm sleeping, and he does it almost constantly. He has wood...

Or maybe just get a cat? Lol.

No kidding... switched to a wood pellet kitchen because of that junk. Ugh.

Worst case, my friend will use the pellets for bedding for his farm and I can go up to Tractor Supply in Burlington to get the pellets they ahve there. hoping these will be okay for now though.

I just bought a 40lb bag of pellets from the big r but they look to be made of pine. I can't find any that don't except for small bags at the pet store and I wasn't sure if this was just the nature of them or if it's just my area that I can't find others. I also wondered if I could put uncovered...

Incidentally I just took a quick look at Farm and Fleet's pellets you mentioned. They're pine, but ar ethey safe? I'm trying to read the packaging and specs but i'm not sure if there's some issue.

I'm going to look at either farm and fleet or The Big R in the McHenry area (near chicago) to look for pellets today. :) Will report back what I find, okay?

Awe... this is so unfortunate... you're in my area, too, I'd take them if I could. unforunately that would probably give my parents an aneurism even if I did have room for a cage that'd hold a trio.
