I originally posted this as Central California only but my situation has changed. I will be moving to Southern California in mid-June and can transport anywhere along this route. Pig Newton is a white, pink-eyed 3 year old. He is extremely cuddly and laid back. He was a Petsmart pig as I didnt...

    Central Calif 2 bonded boars

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I would not even consider separating the two, they must go together. Keep me in mind if you hear of anyone in the Fresno area that may be interested.

    Getting Two New Boars

I am so interested in reading replies to this post. I think you may be headed for trouble but I am no expert. I had to rehome a boar and try again with another just to get a pair that would bond.

100% vote for KM here. My pigs absolutely go crazy for it. Its cheaper too.

    Puberty settng in - problem

I guess Im just over worried because I had to rehome another boar for fighting with the oldest. They just never got along even though I separated until puberty passed, did buddy baths, etc. It broke my heart and I dont want to go through that again.

    Puberty settng in - problem

My baby boar has just started puberty. Today he and the older one (age 2 years) had a little confrontation. Teeth chattering, head raising, rumblestrutting. Nothing major and I know not to separate. Should I try and distract them though? Like offer some veggies or make a loud noise. Or should I...

    Which one is best?

In my opinion KM wins hands down for consistent quality and pricing for both hay and pellets.

UK Great Home-Made Toy Idea For UK-ers!

I think you would be better off securing it by folding it several times along the long edge. Tape might be a problem - what if it comes off and gets wrapped around a leg? It might also get nibbled and swallowed. Otherwise, I think this is a great idea.

    I need Ivermetcin help!

How do you get a needle without a prescription? I have wanted to use the injectable but thought the needle would be an issue so have always used the oral.

    New owner/Impulse buy Suggestions needed!

Yes, she (make sure it is actually a female) needs a buddy and a much bigger cage than you have. Take your time to read all the posts (especially the sticky notes) and you will find everything you need to know to take care of your new pigger. Welcome to the wonderful world of cavies!

double check my math (ivermectin post)

There seems to be some debate as to whether or not the bedding needs washing at all. Some people say that the mites cannot survive without actually being on the host animal so why bother. Maybe someone will come along with a definite, educated answer to this.

double check my math (ivermectin post)

Jus a teensy, teensy bit more than .08 cc is the correct dose for a pig that size. I would just give the .08 to be sure of not giving too strong of a dose.
