I went to add more food to my piggy's bowl, and I Just noticed that I bought Oxbow rabbit pellets instead of Guinea pig pellets. I know that they don't have the vitamin C that the gp pellets do, but is it okay to still feed her the rabbit pellets, so I haven't wasted $15 on food?
Her cagemate Phoebe is now alone in her cage, and I'm not sure what to do. I want her to be happy, but Zoella was irreplaceable. Is getting her a friend the best option or is having a single piggy okay? Phoebe is constantly sniffing the blankets looking for her best friend.
Yesterday, my two-year old beauty, Zoella passed away in my arms on our way to the emergency vet. Her cage mate Phoebe gave me much love and many licks in comfort. Rest in peace my dear piggy 💕

These are some of the things that I do to bond with/socialize my piggies.
1. Get her a piggy friend.
2. Hand feed her yummy veggies.
3. Brush/Comb her hair.
As far as treats go, there are these dried strawberry treats at petsmart that the piggies are addicted to. They'll smell them as soon as the bag opens!this is the banana flavored, never tried that one, but it's the same brand...

Finally done with my C&C cage, more like C&S. I used shower curtains as an alternative for the coroplast.
i used the the shower curtain, then paper bedding, then my fleece!
i had to add the top considering my cats would love guinea pig dinner, the cat in the pic was just waiting for them.

When I read this, I was really confused, because I have a dog named Ferb, and he slides around on the floor! But the piggies seemed to do fine on it. They spent most of their time near the door and by the carpeted stairs (which you cannot see in the picture).
Walmart has 60x48inch fleece blankets for $2.98. They are for people but they work great for the piggies and are really comfy. You might want to pick up your own too!
Bailey is a wonderful name ^_^
it's the first time that they've been in an area that big, so they might just be getting used to it.. My dogs don't help either.
It's always good to have your guinea pigs looked at, maybe every 4 to 6 months. But as soon as you think that your guinea pig is sick, don't hesitate to take him/her to the vet.
