Yes, you want to make sure you are adopting guinea pigs that are being rehomed and not ones from a breeder. You can usually tell by the wording of the post. If they use terms like "stock," "top quality" and "brand new" it's a breeder. Also if they mention specific breeds and colors of the pigs...
