Hi you could always use lino instead of chloroplast and cover it with loads of newspapers or towels and then fleece. I dont know for sure but I expect the cot paint you can get would be ok as its non toxic. My cage is the 2nd one and was pretty easy to make.

Right Ive taken a few bits out and have also added an upper level, (a piggie kitchen area). Ive also made a soft corner cushion to go on the corner shelf at the far end. The red futon is rased so they can go under that. I also made a big fleece pouch under the upper level...

The mesh is galvanised but plastic coated on top, Ive got some left after making the gliders cage (they cant have galvanised mesh)

Hiya, I was just wondering where people's piggies like to sleep most. Is it in their wooden hut/on their piggies chair/in a furry pouch or a comfy cosy? I used to keep my old piggies outside and they snuggled up in their hay so the new ones being inside is all going to be different to me and...

I drilled the holes in myself (they are only 2 1/2 inches as this one belongs to the gliders, the holes would be alot bigger for the piggies)but it doesnt have to have holes so I could leave it just as a tunnel....thanks for the advise JarBax as I wouldnt of thought of that.

Yes its plastic, I know its ok for the gliders as they spit out but would I be better off using the cardboard carpet tubes for the piggies rather than these ones?

Hi advise please? Do you use the corner plastic loo things for your piggies? also what do you put in them to soak up any urine? Ive heard people use carefresh...can I get that in the UK?

Yes I think so if not they are very simular.....it doesnt say what they are made of but it does look like white plastic to me.
