Since there is no discomfort it shouldnt be mites. Also guiena pigs love veggies so he is probably just happy he got them.

You can always connect it to your other cage. Or take the top part of( the metal wire) and use the plastic for the kitchen.

All of my guinea pigs have been in a car and I saw no stress. Also Im going in a private jet witch lets you bring pets on board. The plane ride will be so much faster than regular ones and I am going on the plane myself with the guinea pigs.
