You might like rabbits, then. They're similar to guinea pigs in many ways, but they are larger and are generally more trainable. I have two rabbits that are fully litter box trained. Mine don't do this very often, but sometimes they'll hop up from the floor to the couch where I'm sitting :)

Kwee does this to me all the time. If I offer her a finger, she just goes to town licking it nonstop. I must be saltier than my girlfriend though, because Kwee never gives her so much as a second tasting.

Oreo's actually the better behaved of the two. She never really chewed on anything before we brought Donut home...he's done the majority of the damage to our baseboards and wood furniture (including what you see in the pictures), and taught Oreo that the loud sound of baseboards being nibbled on...

We lost three of five last year as well. Big Pig wasn't really a surprise, since she was over 7 years old. Vet showed she had a huge bladder stone, and we opted to put her down. Then Curly, our teddy pig, died overnight a few months later, and Kellypig, the Abyssinian, did the same a few months...

Yeah, she knows she's cute enough to get away with a lot more than she should, as my nibbled baseboards and HDMI cables will testify. ^^

Fun fact: Oreo apparently senses when I hit the shutter button on my phone, because she always manages to turn away or blur the shot just when I take it. This one took me a dozen tries. :p

That sounds exactly like what Cuddles, my Texel pig, was going through earlier this year. Vet confirmed it was ovarian cysts and spayed her.

Thank you! :) Yeah, I assumed we would have a lot more work to do in terms of getting them to stand each other. At the very least I figured they would be territorial about their own cages, but so far it seems like they've agreed that everything is communal property. Not that I'm complaining!

Thanks! They each have their own cage, but they've been spending time in each other's. We leave them open so they can come and go as they please.

Looks like Oreo and Donut are getting along well already :)
