I have a question, is pine bedding safe? I've heard that it is and it isn't, which is true? I use carefresh and if there was a cheaper alternative that was also safe, it would be much more cost efficient.

I just bought some Natural Pine from Hartz labeled bedding and litter. I put it in a plastic pan..kinda hoping the Piggers would use it for litter. Will it hurt them if they eat it? Chompers has been chomping away on it since I put it in there, and I don't want to put anything in there that will cause them any harm.....Any thought on this would be appreciated...

Where can you find bedding like that? I've never seen carefresh in that kind of packaging before. Does it contain more bedding than the plastic packaging or is it the same amount just wrapped in paper instead?
