I finally gave in and expanded my cage, giving Juliet her own remodelled kitchen. The bigger space allowed me to compromise by putting her timothy hay in a pile instead of a hay rack (she just adores burrowing into it). Someone gave me a bright idea of using the fiddlesticks as a bridge from one area to the other in order to cut down on pine being tracked onto the fleece. But Juliet won't walk over the fiddlesticks, so I took them away. This is right after a thorough cleaning, so it won't look this way for long!
