It just felt so weird, she would talk and purr when we were petting her. Now she hates it. Literally overnight. But i'll keep patient :)

My 5 week girl who we've had for 2 weeks now suddenly does not want to be pet at all. Everytime we pet her she shakes her head and the hair around her neck puffs up. Has anyone experienced this sudden change of loving pets to not wanting to be touched anywhere at all?

I think sometimes the more we as humans want it, the more it puts out a nervous vibe that the animals pick up on. It can makes months/years for the piggies to warm up. Take little steps. Hand feed as much as you can, sit near the cage so they can get familiar with your scent, but let them hide...

so you do have a base layer of cubes underneath the coroplast?

I'm looking at the cube wire storage units. I have two piggies, is a 4 cube storage unit enough? What sizes does that turn into (2x5?)? Thanks! **update - looks like i'll need two sets of the 4 cubes, is that right? I can't find anything locally for the wire cubes.....except 4 packs.

Has anyone tried bathmats in the cages with bedding underneath. Trying to find something used to wicking away moisture and drying quickly, and I thought a bathmat could be both comfy and multitask as well. Thoughts?

We have Willow (american shorthair, all gold) who my youngest daughter named after a favorite type of tree, and Zelda (tri american silk) who my oldest daughter named after a favorite video game character. Both girls :)

It's so hard to tell the difference sometimes......I think they are purring and chuttering but they might be whining or sqweeking. There is not many degrees of seperation :D

I want to make sure i'm doing the right thing by my piggies.... I do a lot of lap time and I hear lots of little purrs and squeaks from my girls. Some are more high pitched than others, but i'm not sure if shes happy or not. If she grits her teeth I put her down. So they have different pitches...
