Gandalf came with his name - he's got a grey back, so I figure they thought he looked like he was wearing a cloak, thus Gandalf the Grey. Gilly came to us as Sophie, but we changed it to match the theme with Gandalf, since yes, we are Tolkien fans.

We decided to keep it as just two. They're settling in nicely and we don't want to disturb that process. We may reconsider in a few months.

I put down one very old thin towel first then the flipper pads. The only reason for the towel is to catch anything that slips between the pads before it gets to the coroplast.

Be really careful with growing mint! It grows like wildfire and soon becomes a weed, grows through the rest of your garden. I have experience with this. The best way to keep it in check is to plant it in a planter box, or plant it in a bucket, then bury the bucket in the ground. I've tried both...

He has pretty hard pads on his feet, so i think maybe he was kept on a wire bottomed cage before i got him, which probably means it was small :sad:

I think i am pretty far from Indiana. I can make the cage larger by adding another storey to part of it, but i can't really increase the bottom main floor size. Its as big as my room will fit! Any ideas on how to find a new piggy i can try out with my piggy first with?
