Have to totally agree with that. They pretty much need the same amount of room and twice the food is a few bucks. Besides the entertainment value of two compared to one is doubled as well. One just isn't as happy or lively. You'll eventually end up with more than one anyway. Everybody does. :D

All I can input is my cage is a multi 2x4 with 2x2 upper for my 2 girls and it's pretty small when it comes to their runs. I have to make sure I let them out for floor time as much as possible. Long is good.

Second hand smoke is second hand smoke. If anyone smokes cigars\cigarettes in their home it's no different. No it's not good for them but the drug isn't airborne transfered like that. Still prolly safer than a lot of peoples dirty mold homes and furnace ducts

Ya I kinda have this problem too. Lettuce plus 2 other veggies a week (all three change week to week) on top of their pellets and timothy hay is the only variety I've figured out so far. Luckily the grocery store is across the street from my shop so special trips are no problem but my piggies...

Well my kids are 9, 4 and under 2 and they do fine. We've had piggies since my oldest was 3. We do keep them in the living room though which is almost always supervised. He really doesn't sound much different than any other piggie I've had (7 to date). They need to be handled to get used to you and used to being handled. And some may just never like being handled. One of my girls I'm lucky to hold more than a minute or two before she tries to continuously bolt...

Do a search here for fleece forest. I also hung some scrap sheets of fleece along the side they love to hide behind.

Ya the settling in takes many months sometimes. Just be patient and watchful.
