    Grids Finally Found Grids C:

Thanks. I hope the wire shelving works. & I know about cable ties, but right now I'm setting it up for measuring purposes; aka so that I can get LxWxH needed for the plywood

    Grids Finally Found Grids C:

These are absolutely impossible to put together, so I sarcastically thank anyone who ever made it seem easy. Grids, meet wall. :/ Still. I'm going to need to put a top on the grids but I'm not sure it will hold my cat who likes to climb on things. I could do the grids 2x2 or 2x3, but the latter...

    Neutering/Spaying Neutering A Pigger

One pig vet is $152.00 and apparently does not need to see the male beforehand. The other is $279 + $69. The $69 is for an appointment before the neutering to make sure he's in good health

    Neutering/Spaying Neutering A Pigger

Hammy's been living here for his whole life. Well, most of it. I'll remember to keep him by himself for 2 weeks (poor boy!) and then he will meet Patch. The vet clinic seems to be the only one in my area besides one down in Red Deer, suggested by our local dog's vet (they're very good there)

    Neutering/Spaying Neutering A Pigger

I'll be sure to research everything for Hammy. Will we need to keep him separate from Patch for a few days after the surgery (assuming they turn out to be a good vet) or can we begin introductions ASAP?

    Neutering/Spaying Neutering A Pigger

I've finally convinced my parents that, while I cannot adopt a pig friend for Patch, I can neuter my brother's pig, Hammy, if I supply the sufficient funds. We have located a reliable small animal clinic in a near city and will be taking him there (hopefully) but haven't heard back yet about how...

    Books impressed with Book

I'll be sure to try and find that book. ; D Myself I have Guinea Pigs, A Complete Pet Owner's Manual (Barron's) and it's not too bad. It touches on most things like exercise, mental fitness, health, and breeding (more so the advantages and how-to's than any disadvantages or possible problems.)

Cage Found Cubes At Home Depot! - Safety and Flooring?

Re-measured and realized I was reading my tape measure wrong. Lucky me. xD I want to put it by my desk (on the floor). It measures 58.5'' by 30''. AKA 4.875 ft by 2.5 ft.. Is that big enough for her? (and how many square feet is that? xD)

Cage Found Cubes At Home Depot! - Safety and Flooring?

I'll look there if I can't find any at home depot. Is 4'9 by 1'5 (ft) big enough for 1 pig? That spans my entire dresser. I have no bigger space for a cage in my room besides the closet which is not ventilated. I may also be able to add it a bit onto my smaller dresser, which will add 1'7 by...

Behavior Exercising Her Mind--and Appetite! (Patch, Duck!)

After reading a post on this forum with a link to a youtube video with a guinea pig who does "circle," I've tried training my pig to do tricks. Currently, she knows 2: "pen" (touches her nose to a pen raised a little bit higher, this is needed for Duck) and "duck" (dips her head down after...

Cage Found Cubes At Home Depot! - Safety and Flooring?

Also, can I make a door just out of a loose grid held up by a lock, etc. instead of spending $7 extra on a "superslide linen shelf"? Will this weaken the structure at all? Remember, I need to support an overweight cat who may be tempted to climb on top. By overweight, I mean you can't feel his...

Cage Found Cubes At Home Depot! - Safety and Flooring?

Thanks for all the info, guys. Right now all I REALLY need to know is how to build a top. Does anyone have like instructions or something? I noticed some cages have things like the Closet Maid - 4Ft. x 12 In. White Superslide Linen Shelf as a top -- would this work? And would I simply be able...

Pellets My Piggy Stopped Eating Pellets

My little pig has stopped eating her pellets, instead waiting for the night when she gets her plate of veggies and her bed-time bowl of grass.. I don't think this is very healthy for her since she'll eat all her veggies before I go to bed, usually, which is about 4 hours after she gets them, and...

Cage Found Cubes At Home Depot! - Safety and Flooring?

I found some cubes & connectors at a Home Depot store, only $35 for 6 cubes. They are the ClosetMaid 6 Cube Storage System. It doesn't say the spacing, etc. of the grids but here's a picture (linked to the page) - ClosetMaid - 6 Cube Storage System - White - 817931 - Home Depot Canada Are these...

Does anyone know good cavy savvy vets in the edmonton and surrounding area? We have never been able to find one and I'm hoping someone here has.
