    No Cage Time

Can't make it until we move next month. No room here and what not. I am hoping how I have it now will hold her over until then. I have a couples of ideas for the new cage. Multiple levels and a large recreational area.

    No Cage Time

Check out Lemon's new digs. Underneath I have those absorbent dish pads with a towel on top. Then the whole thing is topped with fleece that is folded under and hopefully guinea pig proof. The kitchen area has a fleece layer over top of a different color that it also folded under and meant...

Midwest Too big for the cage?

Not yet. She goes everywhere. Except for when the house was in there, she never did anything in there.

    No Cage Time

Any tips on keeping the stuff from flipping up? She tugs on the towels to move them where she likes them. Makes it diffucult to spot clean.

    No Cage Time

Its only temporary until I can afford fleece. She doesnt seem to be chewing on it, but does like to move it around.

    No Cage Time

So I found some towels for temporary bedding and tent. I took out the food she had and giving her timothy hay and veggies until I can get guinea pig pellets.

    No Cage Time

I didnt see it until I did a bit of cleaning, but she somehow dislodged the newspaper from under her gravity feeder and ate it. I am thinking her lounging might be due to a tummy ache.

    No Cage Time

Yeah, I think she needs a checkup. She us usually very active, its weird to see her just lounge like that.

It just started happening today. Weirdly after I took her house out.

    No Cage Time

Lemon has been sulking in the corner of her cage between the water bottle and feeder. I figured I would cheer her up with some no cage time. She looks so happy :)

Midwest Too big for the cage?

The problem with where I live there is a lack of safe space for that. Kids running around and clumsy adults. Hopefully Lemon can soldier it out for another month when we move (single room cottage with tons of safe roaming space).

Never thought of that. Hmmm.. I was thinking when we moved to make her a free range guinea pig :)

Midwest Too big for the cage?

Alright, so I really want to get Lemon a bigger cage, but in the mean time should I remove the house? She absolutely loves it but I feel it makes the cage seem smaller.
