Okay. I thought it was the other way around, and the mites are super contagious. Mites were my first guess, but I ruled them out because the other pigs are fine. Sheesh. I should've known to come here right away with my questions. I actually have a bottle of Ivermectin because I use it on...
Hi, Everyone. I have a question about my most anxiety stricken and sickly piggie. She's housed with two other females, and all have lived peacefully together for over a year. Petunia has always been the one to have skin trouble since the day she came to live with us.
Her most current problem...
I'm so sorry to hear that she's gone. I had high hopes for that little fighter because of the live and kindness you showed her. It's good to know that your mercy and compassion made her short life much more bearable than if she was adopted by another person who viewed her as "just a rodent."
Thank you, Everyone. I switched to orchard hay for to see if it helps, and finally put a felt cage liner down. I also found a new forever home for my favorite piggy, Ratchet. He lived in my bedroom apart from the girls. I missed him terribly but am doing better. My hands are still a mess so...
I just thought of the different greens I feed my piggies. They like Swiss chard, Boston Bibb, kale, carrot greens, radish greens, broccoli rabe (think I spelled that right.) I'm SO glad to hear he's pooping and feeling better!
Sorry, I can't help answer your question, but I hope your sweet cavy is up and popping again soon. Have you tried vitamin c drops in it's water or orange segments?
LOL! Thanks so very, very much. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the information. I will post some pics (maybe around Xmas I'll make some for our piggies' gifts.) lol
Please forgive me, but I don't know what Zorb or PUL are or how to find them. Could you please explain and point me in the direction of how to find them for purchase? Thank you so much for your help! I'm having problems with my skin because of something piggy related and want to make my...
How sweet! You must be two peas in a pod for him to be so trusting. I have two pigs that do the same thing when they're scared. My boy won't leave my side when he's outdoors. He never strays more than about four steps from me so he can run back and cuddle. I love it!
OMG, too funny! It sounds like you have a real adventurer on your hands. One of the babies I re-homed with a friend (the babies were a total surprise) is the same. She just loves to jump off of everything and constantly gives her human heart attacks. Her stories always make me laugh. All of...
