I have been experiencing the same problem with my piggies. When I touch one guinea pig, my skin turns red and itchy. I touch the other one, and my eyes swell up and itch. I use orchard grass, so I know it is not the hay i'm allergic to. An allergist would be the smartest move for you.

Here in New Jersey, there are local Petco's having a "Meet The Critters" day on November 13 - 14 from 1-2 pm. Its the Guinea Pig day, and since it is close to christmas, im going to see if i can get a new one. these guinea pigs can be adopted. this gives humans an opertunity to meet & interact...
How did your piggies respond to this ? and down here we dont get any of that, tornadoes, maybe an occasional mini 3 second earthquake, but the biggest we really get it blizzards...which are rare here.
butt's because they have cute little buttcrack's, i love their nose's because they are always moving, and i love their ears because they are so floppy. and also i love their lip. there bottom lip. its so cute!
well, i fell like you right now, after reading this story. i have a 7 month old and a 3 year old piggie. my 7 month old piggie has grown such a big attatchement to my 3 year old pig. im just nervous when my 3 year old dies, what will happen to my 7 month old piggie . she starts to squeek...
my guinea pig ALWAYS have to tip over their food bowl's. i have 2 piggies and i have a dish that can't be tipped over, and the dish that can, but still, BOTH are tipped over . even the non-tippable bowl.
This could be a possible tumor, take your guinea pig to a doctor A.S.A.P. that is my only advice for you at this point, good luck, though. i'm hoping the best for you and your guinea pig.
ive heard from a couple of store places that girl guinea pig s get their periods like us humans but i dont believe that becasue you guys are saying they dont bleed and that other animals such as dogs and cats dont, and thats what i have thought for a second, but nevermind that idea.
if i were you i would take the body down to a vet before you burry him or something, and checkout what it is and check all of your other piggies for it , im so sorry for your loss. ive never gone through the loss of a guinea pgi but it must be painful, especially because of how cute he was. :(...
