They're so cute!!!! :D
In the picture it looks like your pellets are some sort of "Fiesta" bag with seeds and nuts. You might want to consider switching over to a brand like Oxbow, or KMS pellets. Seeds, nuts, and colorful pellets aren't very good for piggies!

@newbie1 and what I said is how some people culturally view the care of Guinea pigs too. They believe that they shouldn't be taken to a vet, or have proper care, or even care that they live a decent life.
Just because that's how they view it, doesn't mean it's right.
So just because people you know do it means you should too?
Some people keep their guinea pigs in tiny cages with little water, no veggies or hay, no hut, a wheel and some pellets and they never take them out. I guess that means I should do the same.
We are trying to give you CORRECT...
Honestly, I doubt my guinea pigs would want to feel rain, or the extreme heat that Australia can have, or high winds.
I know I wouldn't.
And I know that you think that it's perfectly okay to have them outside but it's not. It's not safe. There are sooo many dangers that people pointed out and...
Yes, if you get ultrasonic repeller make sure it's FAR away from your pigs as possible.
A friend of the family had one of those repellers in their room, forgot about it, and bought a Guinea pig... The poor thing was acting strange (running in circles, wheeking a lot, etc) and eventually died in...
I'm not personally a vegetarian (although I'm slowly converting to one, I've stopped eating beef, pork and fish) but both of my sisters are. My oldest sister started becoming anemic from the lack of iron in her diet, and now she eats fish, but no other animal products and no milk. My other...
Ugh luckkkky! My mom and I both really want a few rats, but of course I live in Alberta. And in Alberta it's illegal to own a rat.... There are zero rats in this province.
You're rats are absolutely adorable! @RodentCuddles
That Guinea pigs only need a table spoon of veggies a day.
I've come across this on multiple pet store "Care Guides", websites, and the shelter I adopted Clark from.
That it's healthy to walk your Guinea pig on a leash.
I wrote out a detailed information booklet, and I showed her how to do it before I left.
Hence why I'm so frustrated!!!!
Yeah I should give her the benefit of the doubt... I'll try and calm myself. lol
This past week I had a gal in my neighborhood take care of both of my boars, Bruce and Clark. A few of my friends had their animals pet sat by her, and said she was wonderful!! She also had previously owned guinea pigs, and when I asked her some questions she seemed pretty knowledgeable...
Try mushing up some wet pellets and see if they look alike.
Either way, you should keep a good eye on her, and book a visit to the vet if it continues.
Good luck!
