Velma & friends - Guinea Pig Cages

That is genius!! I should do this with my cage!! What did you use to drill in holes, and cut off the wire? My step dad might be able to do that for me...

Actually, the front of the store-bought case came off fairly easily; I used a pair of pliers to bend it apart without any permanent damage.
As for holes, I didn’t make any. The store-bought portion is connected using zip ties. If you look closely, you’ll see two of them—one at the top, one at the bottom—where the store-bought cage meets up with the C&C section.
As it turns out, we’ve moved and had to reassemble the store-bought cage to transport Velma and her new buddy, Scooby. I’ll post pics of the new (bigger) caviary once I get everything in place.

I like that idea! Do they hop over the side of the store cage to get to the other side? Do you have to put a lot of bedding so it's easier to get over?
