On the floor of your cage, is that just the plain coroplast, and if it is does that mean the hedgies dont require hay or a bedding of some sort. Im trying to find out as much as I can before getting a hedgehog.
Hedies are domesticated just like guinea pigs/hamster/gerbils/etc, but that also means there are Hedies for adoption, check your local shelters, petfinder, criagslist (I see many there) and freecycle.
(Not sure why the breeder link has remand up there so long)
That breeder link slipped past us. It's gone now. If ever members find a breeder link or other inappropriate content hidden in a gallery comment, profile, etc, please PM the link to the page it's on to a mod or admin.
Getting a hedgehog at a rescue or shelter isn't always the best idea either... and it isn't as easy as it is for cavies. Since hedgehogs are only recently domesticated (let's say about 50 years?) they can develop nasty tempers. Most hedgehogs at shelters and rescues are older. You want to get a hedgehog as a baby as young as you can from a breeder.
