Our Setup

Our new setup, 3x2 (x3) with cubbies on the bottom and a 2x1 loft with ramp. The piggies love it! We have cats and a dog so this fully closes. The top/left plate swings open to access the loft and the middle/center 2 plates open to access the main level.
Thanks, we have just the two pigs. We just got them yesterday and as soon as we put them in their new cage they started popcorning almost immediately and doing laps, I think they like it! I wish we had the room to do a 2x4, but oh well, this is way better than a store bought cage anyway.
How did you do the ramp!? I have a 3X2 also, and really want to make a second floor but I'm looking for ramp ideas.
I just made it out of extra coroplast. I scored the underside like I did for the bottom of the cage, and folded up the sides. It goes down half the height of the cube, makes a 90 degree turn, and goes down the rest of the way. Basically just creative with coroplast and zip ties (I also made a coroplast pillar in the middle to support the weight). It doesn't need a bent cube grid underneath it, it's plenty strong to handle the pigs romping. It's held in place with binder clips so we can easily remove it for cage changes. Next time I do a change I'll take a pic of it for you.
Hey I couldn't figure out how to post pics here, so I made a thread here, you can see all angles of it:
This is amazing! I'm going to see if I can make something similar. The setup of this forum seems to have changed slightly since bnelson333 posted the link to the thread; it is now at https://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/threads/64960-My-Ramp?p=571259
