Open Multi-Level - Guinea Pig Cages

This one sways a little when the pigs run laps which makes me kind of nervous. It was fine until I tried to build the bottom storage level. Any stability suggestions? P.S. food, water and hay are there, just difficult to see in the pic :)
I don't have any stability suggestions because I don't have a C&C cage but I can say that I love the cage, I love how you connected it with the store bought one.

If you use additional connectors and grids to make another bottom shelf that is flush with the floor, it should help with the stability. Or you could put it on a sturdy table- I don't recommend a folding card table, though, because they can cause some wobbling as well.

Thanks to both of you! MissCin, I have since stopped using the old cage as the second level. Only one of my guinea pigs used it because the other is a very small adult and the ramp was too steep for her, she can't jump and she couldn't reach the top of the cage from the inner staircase to get out. It was a nice idea though!

I have that exact same pet store cage, and was thinking of doing the exact same thing with it, and I was wondering whether getting out of the cage might be an issue, so thanks for sharing your experiences! I keep trying to think of great ways to use it, but I think in the end I will just keep it for travel and quarantine.
