new cage design - Guinea Pig Cages

I call this room Cavyland-I dedicated one room (my beezeway" to the piggs. I felt my earlier design just wasn't enough room, so I made a play and eat area-a 3 x 5 with a ramp that takes them to the next level a 2 x 7 with a ramp that takes them to a 3 x 1. Over all the cage is a shape of a J. I
hi, thankyou, I have 4 boys, Ben and Jerry, Chubbs and Pigster. As far as cleaning, I made it easy for myself. I put enough shavings in there to make them comfy and to absorb the urine. I noticed that the shavings dries the piggy poo up rather well and helps cut down on the odor. There is a plastic tarp under the shavings and is attached to the grids with clips, I have 2 choices, either unclip the plastic-carry it outside and dump the shavings, or suck them up with a shop vacc (sounds easier) that I can roll to the outside and dump in my backyard. I also intended to make the cage very large so I wouldn't have to clean it so often. Previously I was using towels and fleece and found it was more work plus the odor was more pronounced. My husband...the smell critic, hasn't complained once since I changed the bedding ove to this. A large bag costs me $6.00 at Walmart and I only used half the bag with lots of left overs. I just look for wet spots and scoop them out. But mostly it's all dry by the time I get to it. They really seem to love this set-up they run around and jump quite a bit....my kids think I've lost it hehe....

HOLY COW!!! I am so jealous, LOL. This is so awesome, I wish so much that I had a whole room I could dedicate to my piggers. Great job, wow.
