my little huey on top - Guinea Pig Cages

any suggestions , this is one of my firsts.
what can i make a bottom from i was thinking folded poster board with a newpaper liner and bedding..what do you think? my pigs are about 2 months - according to the petsmart lady- is cheap felt or fleece worth the trouble?

you can go to somewhere like Ross or Marshalls and get some really cheap fleece blankets. That's what I did!!! I got 4 big blankets so I could always have one on hand. Each was $5.... Some people like to go to a fabric store, but I found fleece there was more expensive than Ross blankets!
I saw someone on this forum actually got some fleece, and some absorbant towels, and sewed them together like a quilt....I'm thiking of doing that.
Once again , I found very very good and thick towels at Ross (just ugly colors!!!)
Also, for the bottom, if you can't find cloroplast you can go to any hardware store and get some linoleum tiles, or just a big piece of linoleum.
This person has linoleum in their cage:

You can also see what I did when I ran out of cloroplast for my loft:

I found those huge foam squares from Ross for $7.

Hope this helps.
I'm sure lots of people will soon give you more ideas!

I would use coroplast, you can usualy get it for $10-$20 so its water proof. Then mabey puting fleece in too. I think you can have no bedding with coroplast if its totaly sealed.
