did you figure out if toots is a boy or girl? make sure they are the same sex? and did u test them together first to make sure they aren't going to fight?

um well i have them separated at the moment cause i got Toots at a pet store. But, before i made that horrible mistake, they seemed to get along. I will keep them separated for about 3 weeks, at least that is what I have read here. Toots seems very palcid and likes being held so far. she is eating well and drinking well. Toots is a girl. so is Mustard. and Mustard seemed to be protective of Toots. when they see each other they call alot and Mustard seems to be happier now. she actually lets us pet her without trying to take our fingers off.

Wow! they are adorable!
I'm guessing you have lots more hay elsewhere. How long have you had Mustard? And what's Toot's quarantine cage? The quarantine cage dosen't have to be large, a lot of people agree since it's only 3 weeks... So don't let anyone yell at you just in case! Don't know where I'm leading.. Mustard and Toots are just TOO cute though...

ok, i have hay all over but i try to keep it in one spot, and toots cage is an old habit trails hampster cage. i put a girl scout cookie box in there and Toots is quite happy in it. I have had Mustard for two years now, we found here at a local park and we assume she was abondoned and abuse since her whiskers were burnt off. with alot of tender care and understanding, she does trust us somewhat better now and she will settle down in our arms now when we hold her. BTW Toots is a girl!

Very cute piggies. Mustard doesn't look all that humongoes to me. Maybe a little humongous, though.
