This is the first C&C cage I've built. The top level isn't done yet and the bottom isn't completely "decorated." He absolutely loves to sit on his straw mat!
I'm loving the cage. Do you have a ramp or do rabbits not need one? Also, do you have a top..does he jump out? I ask because I'm planning on building a C&C cage for my rabbit.
I can't wait until it's done. I don't have a ramp because I don't think he'll need one (but if he does, I'll make him one). My rabbit, Mason, is pretty large and can jump up high. When he was outside, he loved jumping up on his wooden house (which is about the same height as the 2nd level). Smaller rabbits would probably need some assistance getting up. Right now, I have the top blocked off so he can't jump up until the coroplast is put in. Once I do that, I'll be adding a top over the 2nd level only. I haven't figured out where I'm going to put the door in, so I just access him and everything else through the top. How big is your rabbit?
Any suggestions on where to put a door so I can access the litter box (which is now in the left, back corner, under the 2nd level)? I tried making it on the cube to the left of the water bottle and it didn't work out well. When I make the door, do I cut the coroplast down in that spot?
His cage has changed so much since this picture was taken. The top floor is done and he loves to sleep there. I removed the towel (too messy), changed the bedding in his litter box, and he's litter trained (almost completely). As a cover for the top food, I'm using cardboard pieces.
