This is the finished cage with the linen shelving lid. the lid opens on the far right, far left and middle and the entire thing can be lifted off in 2 sections
He has a pigloo. If he was scared he'd be balled up really tight in it or the furthest corner from the cat. That's how prey animals behave when they are scared. He could use more toys, though, but if this is a newly set up cage I could understand it being sparse.
Fab_Cavy, I see three pigloos. Also, it might be hard to see some of the toys through the bars... and the fact that theres a "mid level" being held up by what looks like dowel rods.
So, I have to ask. I wanted to use dowel rods to support a second level, but my cage is now 3 grids wide instead of 2... where did you find dowel rods long enough? I've been to Lowe's and Home Depot and they stop just short of 3 grid's length once you get to the thickness I was comfortable using.
