Hay Rack out of Suet Feeder - Guinea Pig Cages

I tried this and mine wouldn't eat out of it... Do yours actually use it?

I bought a similar suet feeder to try but when i put the hay in it didn't stick out much. I was worried he would have too much trouble getting the hay out. Do they seem to be able to get to it ok? Was worried about getting a foot or something stuck in the grid if they had to try too hard to get hay out.
