Hay and food area - Guinea Pig Cages

I found a good use for my pet store cage after all. I use the bottom of the cage filled with aspen and then covered in hay for the piggies to chow in and do their business. It works great and keeps most of the hay/bedding off of the fleece in the rest of their cage.
THANXS YOU JUST GAVE ME A GREAT IDEA, BECAUSE I'M MAKING A NEW CAGE AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE OLD PET STORE CAGE. :0) THANXS FOR THE AWESOME IDEA

I was wondering what all veggies you can feed the piggies. I have gave them carrots, apples and I didn't know if they can only have certain kinds of lettuce. Or fresh spinach leaves? Your piggies are adorable. Did yours have babies? When I got my piggies for my girls, i was told they were the same sex. I checked them after learning how and I have a pair! Yikes! They have been together for a couple of months, the female is about 2 years old, the male is about 3 months old. Will they breed, how can I tell if they have?

That's cool BG! I've been wanting to make my hay area bigger to fit more piggies in there. I may need to use something like that. Good job.

pigfarmerroxky: are the amle and female seperated? If not do it asap if she is so old having babies can be VERY dangerous
