Is that cat litter in the corner litter box? Also do you use vita-drops, the calcuim disolves or disenagrates in about 15 minutes so they leave vitamens in the water that the piggy doesn't really need and they don't get enough calcium. They can get most of thier calcium from fresh veggies.
Other than that this is a great cage. (Sorry if that isn't cat litter and if there arn't any vita-drops in the water, I'm just going by what I know and see.)
It is super pet rabbit, ferret, and other small pet litter that came in a kit. It is safe for her...and it is vita drops in the water with something called oxedrops also in the water, but I see what you mean, but she still drinks the same amount of water with or without the drops so I just put them in there because it is made for animals, I mean for guinea pigs.
Kiwi drinks more when the Vita drops are in there, and I rescued her from my friend who kept her in a 10 gallon tank with dirty food, water, and bedding, no toys or house or hay and free time. So I rescued her and she doesn't let me hold her too much but she loves her cage and the vita drops in her water, she also loves carrots and parsley
Vita drops aren't good - they can clog up the spout of the bottle and reduce (or increase) the amount of water that your pig drinks compared to clean water. The best thing to do is to remove the drops and let her drink normally.
About the litter- I wouldn't trust petstore brand litter for small animals as it could cause intestinal blockage. Its good to stick to carefresh or something of that sort to keep in the litter box.
Cavy Cuckoo-I no longer use vita drops in her water....I still have them though But I use a different brand of drops for my rats in their bottle and they like it. Anyways....she HATES carefresh as she used to live on only that in her 10 gallon aquarium before I rescued her so she just hates it. I use aspen or kiln dried pine covered with oat hay in her litter boxes and she loves that. I will post another updated picture of my cage soon.
Kiwi lives in it all alone. She runs around the whole cage super fast...she just loves all the room after I rescued her from my friend that kept her in a 10 gal tank with dirty food and water...and no toys or playtime.
and you call her your friend?????!!!that's awful!!!by the way, get her a buddy!!she will be even more happy!nice cage! I would put something on the carpet because carpets especially white ones can get really dirty and really smelly
