An open-air cage would be fine, it seems to me, if the cat was secured from the room with the piggy (like with a closing, latching door) except in highly supervised moments - and this is a pigture of a floor time moment, right? My floor time pen is certainly open air, and I have cats: only the old, fat, lazy one is allowed to be in the room with me and the pig during floor time (who is NEVER left alone in floor time anyway).
