Check Out My Summer Penthouse ..it's even air conditioned ... - Guinea Pig Cages

This is a mesh panel from linens and things that we bent to originally make a tunnel. Then in a flash of creativity, we decided to attach the tunnel against the edge of the cavy cage. You can't tell by this picture, but we attached it so that the open end of the tunnel was zip tied to the wall of th
Oh yeah! He easily goes around inside, but he only weighs 1lb 3oz right now. In the picture he's all fluffed up, and very proud of himself. Once he figure out how to go up the ramp he was really satisfied. He was so happy to have a nice hiding spot where he felt safe. I loved it because I can see him, and I don't have to worry about him overheating and dying in a pigloo in the summer while I'm at work.

He sat there very full of himself at how smart he was. He sat there and watched us from his penthouse with the most arrogant attitude! He "surveyed" what was happening in the room and what was making those noises outside thinking that no one could get to him. You can tell by the look on his face. We were giggling so bad I had to take a lot of pictures to get one that wasn't shaking. He fluffed himself just like a bird does when he's all satisfied. Then he stretched out on his side (that was the first time I ever see him do that!) and took a very relaxing nap.

Right now he goes up there to watch the birds come and go on our patio. Or sometimes I think he's watching US watch him.

There are other images that give a better shot of the cage. (go to "see this users gallery' for the other pics)
