Thanks! Our first set up was with the top portion being a 1X2, but my husband wanted it bigger when we added the second little piggy. Honestly it's a little harder due to the bottom level being covered for the most part, but we've been playing with it to "streamline" the cleaning process. My husband ended up putting in a little "door" (the second grid from the left on the bottom) is hinged now (with these little removeable locks on one side). I can open that twice a day and sweep under the ramp and the very back of the cage. I sewed the fleece bedding together as "quilts" so they're easy to take out and put back in. I really wanted them to have a bigger cage but we didn't have room to make this longer, so we'll continue with this set up. We've only had this two weeks, so hopefully we'll get into the groove of cleaning this - time will tell Hope I answered your question
So we ended up going back to our origional C&C cage - we took the upper portion off, but kept a 1X2 on top (where I keep the food, hay, one water bottle). We've decided to make the origional a grid longer on the bottom level. Just way easier to clean It was worth a try though
