When I started using fleece, I noticed that Aby mostly used the bathroom in the corner. So I bought a plastic paper tray, put newspaper in the bottom, and bedding on top. Aby purposely goes to this tray and uses the bathroom.

Only some. Some guinea pigs prefer to go on bedding, while some really just can't be taught to go anywhere but where they happen to be sitting. However, it can be useful to put a litter box where they tend to go the most or inside a fleece forest/under a hut because they like privacy
