5 Hours Old! - Guinea Pig Cages

Bella's Babies Born August 8,2009
Left to Right:
Honey, Beatrix, Jackson, Molly
(Names may be tentative, since I am not 100% sure on the sexing) The litter was accidental in that we adopted 2 females, but we soon realized Bella was pregnant. I will be bringing any boars to our local Animal Rescue,
Aww they are so little!! What if 3 or even all are girls? Will you keep them? Sorry I was just wondering! They are adorable! Glad everything went ok!

Thanks everybody...the funny thing is I have not felt like this since my daughter was born! The waiting for the big day, the worry and then....babies in the house again.

I will keep 2 girls...I will be bringing any boars to our local Animal Rescue League, who finds GOOD homes, demands the new family show them the cage first and are in no rush to adopt out to questionable people or situations. I am worried if I have 3 girls...I can't see letting her go...I will have to make a decision after they have been sexed with all certainty....

Aww! Hopefully only 2 are girls then!! At least if there are 3+ girls you know they will all be getting great homes! Our humane society will probably adopt out to any one willing to take it sadly. WE never have any guinea pigs though either. They are amazing with the cats and dogs, more common animals and what not.

When I called the Animal Rescue League of Boston, I sort of interviewed them to make sure they know how to care for Guinea Pigs, diet, cage size requirements for adoption...etc... I feel very connected and protective of the babies, and I really don't know how to deal with separating with any of them...but I really only want females.

OMG!! Babies! I remember when my guinea boys were born, they were so tiny. They are 8 months old now.

Aww, Kokabo (Jackson) looks so little here! He's growing so fast! I love him, and I'm sure he will love his brother!
